Environmental Policy

CALIENT develops the most innovative and value positive products for telecommunications providers, data centers, and government, enterprise, research & education networks worldwide. These products are designed with efficient management and protection of vital resources, including:

• Requirements of the European Union Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive
• Requirements of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive
• Goals and policies of GeSI (Global e-Sustainability Initiative), the ETNO (European Telecommunications Network Operators), and other worldwide based associations

Our policy goes further than work on goals, we produce practicable solutions for our customers in reducing carbon emissions and power consumption by reducing construction, provisioning, and troubleshooting truck rolls, reducing operating power to less than 0.25 W/Tbps, and reducing air conditioning load.
